Biography

For Saverpierre, the canvas is a site of physical survival and joy. His practice is a continuous argument against the passivity of flat surfaces and the static noise of outside influence.

This friction manifests across three core investigations: Rewire isolates and physically reconfigures narratives found in literature; In Your World breaks the confines of the traditional x-y plane, pulling the canvas onto the z-axis to reject the historical mandate of flatness; and his recent large-scale florals confront this structural weight with an intense, celebratory energy. Every surface is an unresolved wrestling match—a record of paint forced to survive the scrape.

Based in Windsor, Ontario, Saverpierre maintains an active full-time legal practice alongside an extensive academic background, including a Ph.D. and an LL.M. Having taught undergraduate and graduate courses across Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Business Administration—with a focus on statistics, research methods, and corporate governance—at Wayne State University and the University of Windsor, his analytical discipline functions directly as the engine behind the art. He utilizes strict conceptual, mathematical, and legal discipline to anchor his visceral material explorations.
