Biography

Saverpierre’s art practice is a continuous negotiation between the passivity of surfaces and the noises of outside influences.

The negotiations take physical form currently across four series: In Rewire and Still Life figurative subjects undergo the removal of impastos and raw gestural fields. In Overspray, aerosols are deployed; and in the series Thrust, works escape the confines of the traditional x-y plane by the thrusting onto the z-axis to challenge the limits of containment. Every work is an ongoing and open dialogue- a record shaped by scraping, the frame and aerosol overspray.
